Acceptable Use

Last updated July 15, 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets the ground rules for using CoveredLine. It's part of our Terms of Service. Breaking it can lead to suspension or termination. In short: don't use an automated phone agent to do things that are illegal, deceptive, or harmful.

1. Prohibited uses

You may not use the Service to:

  • Violate any law or regulation, or facilitate illegal activity.
  • Send unsolicited marketing, robocalls, or robotexts, or otherwise violate the TCPA, TSR, CAN-SPAM, or carrier rules. See our Messaging & SMS Terms.
  • Impersonate another person or business, or misrepresent that a caller is speaking with a live human when asked directly — you must not use the Service to deceive callers about its automated nature where disclosure is required.
  • Engage in fraud, scams, phishing, or collect sensitive data under false pretenses.
  • Handle content or transactions we prohibit, including for illegal drugs, weapons trafficking, human exploitation, or other unlawful goods and services.
  • Harass, threaten, defame, or discriminate against callers or any person.
  • Provide regulated professional advice (medical, legal, financial) as if from a licensed professional, or use the Service where doing so would violate professional or licensing rules.
  • Infringe intellectual property or misappropriate confidential information.
  • Interfere with or overload the Service, probe or breach security, reverse engineer it, or bypass usage limits, rate limits, or access controls.
  • Use the Service for emergency, life-safety, or 911 call handling.

2. Handling caller data responsibly

  • Get any consents required to record calls or text your callers in the places you and they are located.
  • Only collect caller information you genuinely need, and keep the promises you make to your callers about it.
  • Don't feed the Service unlawful content or content you don't have the right to use.

3. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and cooperate with law enforcement. We may remove content, throttle, or suspend or terminate accounts that violate this AUP — immediately, where the violation is serious or poses a legal, security, or fraud risk.

4. Reporting abuse

To report a violation, email support@coveredline.com.
